Panagia Episkopi.
Is a Byzantine church and is considered the best example of traditional ecclesiastical architecture. Was built in the late 11th century by Emperor Alexios A’ Kominos. The church is an important Byzantine monument.

Next stop at traditional village of

Pyrgos.
Is located on the highest point of Santorini. On the hilltop you can find ruins of Kasteli castle, one of the five ‘kastelia’ on the island. The village is composed of traditional houses built around the Venetian castle.

Third stop at

Monastery of Profitis Ilias.
The highest point of Santorini is Mount Profitis Ilias, which rises over 1.800 feet. The Monastery dates back to 1711. The walls round the Monastery remind of a fortress. The history of Profitis Ilias is long and very important for the life of Santorini during the centuries. The Monastery has a museum – The Icons & Relics Collection is a look into Santorin’s past.

Fourth and our last stop

Magical Oia for the Sunset.
It’s a traditional village with charming houses, in narrow streets, blue domed churches and sunbathed verandas. It is known throughout the world for its quiet life and fantastic sunset and it’s certainly the most beautiful and picturesque village of Santorini. You will see the sun sink into the sea and spread colors in the sky. The best golden sunset in the world. Literally cut your breath.
